Vaccinations

Overview
Preventive care is one of the most important ways to protect your pet’s long-term health. Because pets can be exposed to many contagious and potentially serious diseases, proper vaccination plays a critical role in keeping them healthy and protected throughout their lives.

Why are vaccinations important?
Vaccinations help safeguard your pet by reducing the risk of serious viral and bacterial diseases such as Parvovirus, Distemper, Parainfluenza, Lyme disease, Panleukopenia, Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and Rabies. These vaccines act as a proactive defense, helping prevent illness before it occurs.

When should my pet be vaccinated?
Vaccinations are especially important for puppies, kittens, and young pets whose immune systems are still developing. Most vaccination series begin between 6–8 weeks of age and are followed by booster doses at scheduled intervals throughout your pet’s life. Our veterinarians will create a vaccination plan tailored to your pet’s age, lifestyle, and health needs.

How are vaccines administered?
Vaccines work by safely stimulating your pet’s immune system using inactive or weakened forms of disease-causing organisms. Depending on the vaccine, they may be given by injection under the skin, orally, or intranasally.

Each vaccination visit includes a physical examination and consultation with our veterinarians to ensure your pet is healthy and stable enough to receive vaccines. Proper timing and administration are essential for providing the best possible protection.
