Dr. JacksonPeter A. Jackson DVM

Dr. Jackson grew up in Spring Lake and Grand Rapids, graduating from East Grand Rapids High School in 1976. He joined the Air Force after graduation, was trained in law enforcement and stationed in the Philippines as a K-9 Handler. He was then certified in narcotics detection using a drug dog. Upon returning to the United States, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington D.C. and was trained in K-9 explosives detection. He has guarded Presidents Carter and Reagan along with dignitaries from many different countries including Prince Charles, Anwar Sadat and Pope John Paul. After leaving the Air Force, he attended university and graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He started a practice in Newaygo and owned it for 10 years, and then decided to relocate to the lakeshore area, where he started the Lifetime Veterinary Care in 2004. Dr. Jackson's interests are aviation (he is a commercially rated pilot with both an instrument and multiengine rating), cycling, and playing his banjo. His wife’s name is Laura, and they have three children, Lee, Kelsi and Dale, and share their house with two cats, and three dogs.

Kate VanWyck B.S.

KateKate is originally from Newaygo, and graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2006. She and her husband Brad live in Grand Rapids with their son James, dog Eva, and cats Chloe and Ringo. When not at work, you will find Kate and her family enjoying the outdoors hiking and kayaking, or braving the Michigan winters on snowshoes.


Anita Villa-Woodrum

anitaAlthough born in Muskegon, MI. I was raised in Sugarland, Tx. While in high school she was introduced to FFA (Future Farmers of American) and found a passion working with animals. After graduating from St Mary College, Notre Dame, she worked in the office manufacturing industry but life somehow returned me to my true passion: working with animals. When not at work, she loves spending time with her husband Mike, her two dogs Jake and Coco, and her large extended family. She also enjoys spending time gardening, hunting, fishing and photography.

Kelsi Jackson

kelsiKelsi graduated from Spring Lake High School class of 2008. She lives in Muskegon with her orange cat Cheese Burger and longhaired cat Gilbert. When she is not at work or home the first place to look is the beach, if the sun is out she will be there.
